Ron Howard did it again

Now I loved the Da Vinci Code movie. Not many did. So I went into Angels and Demons optimistically. Thankfully it was worth the wait. I wouldn't say it was better than Da Vinci Code but was certainly on par. Tom Hanks had a better haircut and at times you forgot it was him. The girl was good too (sorry I forgot her name and I don't care enough to look it up).

So go see this movie (assuming you already saw Star Trek).

Two Movies That Want Oscars

Happy-Go-Lucky. If this trailer just makes me happier watching it, imagine how much happier one will be after seeing it. It looks like such a cute movie and there's a bit of Oscar buzz for Sallly Hawkins. This is also by the director who did Vera Drake and got Imelda Staunton her Oscar nomination.

Based on a Tony-Award winning play, Frost / Nixon is about a series of interviews conducted with President Nixon about his Watergate scandal. Directed by Ron Howard and written by the writer of The Queen (with the same actor who played Tony Blair), this movie could be quite good.
